You Can Now Get Gorgeous Vivid Hair Without Using Bleach

Vivid, or "rainbow" hair has been a pretty hot trend over the last few years. Now, more than ever, people are venturing into the world of color.

Unfortunately, some have been hesitant to do just that because you typically have to bleach your hair to get the look — until now, that is.

People have been dyeing their hair bright, vivid colors for years now.

The seasoned experts have the process perfected and know exactly how to go about it the "right" way.

First and foremost, you should always see a professional for this look.

Doing it at home pretty much guarantees you'll wind up with a hot mess of color for hair (but not actually hot — more like disastrous).

If you were born with blonde hair, you're one of the lucky ones.

It typically means that you don't have to bleach your hair to get the fun colors everybody's falling all over themselves for.

Anyone with darker hair has to bleach it to get those fun colors.

And as we all know, bleaching your hair is harmful. It basically fries it, and no matter how much you take care of it, it's not going to be same.

Fortunately, it looks like those harsh bleaching days could be a thing of that past, according to Not Another Salon.

They've spent years perfecting the technique to turn some shades of dark hair into the vivid hair of your dreams, and all without using harmful bleach.

I know it sounds too good to be true.

As someone with auburn hair who is too afraid to bleach it, I'm really excited about this prospect. It actually seems like it could work.

They explained how the process works with several of their Instagram posts.

Basically, instead of using bleach, they use the lightest blonde colors to lift the hair color and have figured out which bright hair color is best suited for each lifted shade of hair.

They made it clear that the process won't work on every single hair type (especially if you have very dark hair or previously colored hair).

But if you are a candidate for this new technique, it's definitely one you'll want to look further into.

The salon also makes it clear that the process is not, by any means, a quick one.

For some clients, it take a year or longer to get the desired hair color.

But it's still a promising option for those who don't want to do any more damage to their hair.

"New clients were coming to us with such extreme damage that we would refuse to bleach them anymore and after seeing so many brought to tears, we had to look at other options," they wrote.

"This lady is a perfect candidate as she’s dark blonde naturally and had reached a point where she felt bleaching wasn’t best on her hair long- term."

"So over a period of a year we integrated light blonde color instead of bleach and sat an array of creative colors over the top," they explained

We have to say, we're seriously impressed. We love that the salon took the time and used their skills to come up with this technique that will benefit so many.
