She Shared Her Engagement Photos And Was Body Shamed, But She Responded Like A Boss Lady

People who get engagement photos done want one thing and one thing only: to share their love with those they love.

This is why people post their photos.

They're not looking for "attention," trying to rub your nose in it, or asking for your feedback. Seriously, they're really not.

But sometimes... the people of the Internet couldn't care less. They weigh in when not asked. They comment and critique and, well, body shame.

It's a sad story when this is the result of sharing a joyful experience.

It's so sad, in fact, that it could crush some brides and grooms...

But not these two.

This is Mzznaki Tetteh, a nurse from Accra, Ghana, and her fiancé Kojo Amoah.

Just recently, they had engagement photos taken. As any excited bride-to-be would, Tetteh went home and posted the pics online.

This is the first of the series she posted. While some people were happy for them, others were seemingly distraught over what they saw.

The trolls began gathering around her comment sections and body shaming this beautiful human being.

The comments, which I won't give airtime to here, were also negatively directed at Tetteh's husband-to-be.

People even began taking the photos and posting them to Twitter as a joke. Let's keep in mind that these are personal engagement photos.

So, what would you do if this happened to you?

A lot of people would completely lose it. Some would take the photos down. Others would let it sink in and ruin the experience completely....

This couple didn't let the haters get them down... not for one single second.

They kept the photos posted. And do you know what started happening? People started rallying for them. People started telling them what an amazing couple they are, how much the couple inspired them, and how awesome this all is. People told Tetteh and Amoah not to let anyone dull their shine. And they didn't.

And then...Tetteh did something even more amazing. She posted this photo to her page and captioned it...

"Still confident...your rubbish comments ain't ruining my happiness...thanks to all for the compliments and best honoured. ✌✌"

This couple is going to be just fine. They've already slayed the beasts of the internet, after all!

And now they're getting some mad airtime because of it. Congrats!

SHARE this story to help shut down body shamers!
